INSANE and LOVELY

We got married about 9 years ago. So, 9 years ago we were fortunate enough to have a hand full of good friends come and cruise on this sweet, sweet island a week or so before we tied the knot. One of the things we did was visit this waterfall. I know…. for real – can you believe that stuff like this even exists? The definition of PICTURE PERFECT. This place is INSANE and LOVELY intensely mixed together pouring over cliffs. 

I digress – we visited this waterfall. Our group wanted to go to the top of it and so we took the back way. It was a bad decision. It was awesome but it was a bad decision. A friend almost died that day. She began to fall down the vertical wall to the left of the falls. By Gods grace (we can talk about God more later) and some serious acrobatic skills she caught a tree with her arm and landed on her feet about 10 feet below the trail. A few hundred feet shy of the water. This week, she and a loved one are here visiting my family so we can swap photos, stories and life. She went back to photograph the falls. She is a gift for many reasons and one of them is a reminder what an INSANE and LOVELY place this is.
