Harmonious Vibration

5 days of juice to reestablish a harmonious vibration with food. 

It’s by taking food OUT of the equation that you can study the space and energy it leaves behind. The actual space in your day that was spent purchasing, preparing and cleaning food related items. The life energy that becomes available when less of it is spent digesting more food than we need. This is what I’ve been up to the last 5 days with a group of friends. No food, just super great nutrient rich juice. I did this to evaluate my own relationship with food. 

Rewind a few weeks: 

I was getting grouchy, real grouchy about food. Not that I don’t value how important it is to sustain life, but that if it came in a pill I could just swallow with water, I would do it. It seems simpler, less wasteful. My 3 and a half year old strung together this monologue the other day, “Mom, I do not like these things on my plate, I do not like this dinner, this is not what I like.” So, with that and a host of other reasons I jumped into changing my vibration with food. Searching for something more harmonious.

It’s remarkable.

A remarkable process – Let go of food for 5 days. Enjoy nutrient rich, day-of fresh juices for nourishment and see how it goes. I have learned plenty.

It’s like at your house when you take everything out of the closet, clean it, and then put back only what you like best, what serves you.  

Here is what I will continue to do:

  • Have fresh eggs from friends
  • Have a weekly CSA drop from friend loaded with kale, spinach and veggies
  • Be regular at the farmers market
  • Keep eating at home as regularly as possible
  • Spend time prepping food on weekends to lighten the load on weekdays
  • Keep meat to a minimum and consistently seek sustainable sourced proteins from where I live

New habits:

  • Eat less, just straight up eat less. It’s shocking I didn’t die during these 5 days. I pretty much managed to function normally but without much exercise – so it got me thinking, how much food do I really need? I’ve felt pretty good with out any! 
  • Drink water all the time
  • Include nutrient dense juices as a part of my regular nutrition
  • Be ready to adjust food intake as daily physical tasks and demands change

Now I begin to add food back into my life with an increased awareness, appreciation and good energy about it. I like food, I love that it nourishes me, and depending on how I get it, it nourishes people around me. I just needed to remove it from the system for a bit so I could see that more clearly. Getting back in touch with the harmony that exists between land, plants, animals, people and food.  

Speaking of Harmonious Vibration – I got that phrase from Bob Proctor.
